People have started to panic ever since the homepage of Kadence has been redirecting to the Liquid Web website.
Though it’s been a while since Liquid Web acquired Kadence, the branding transition seems to have taken place last week. This left a lot of long-term users in confusion and frustration.
A lot of existing customers mentioned on social networks that they can’t find the login page, license issues, etc.
Kadence is quite popular for its speed, customization, and native WordPress block system that enhances its ability to add extra design features.
I previously mentioned Kadence as one of the best Genesis Framework Alternatives, but sadly, Kadence will probably end up just like StudioPress, which has declined in popularity after the by WP Engine acquisition.
So in this article, I’ll be listing some of the best themes that I think can be a good replacement for Kadence.

Best Kadence Theme Alternatives
GeneratePress
GeneratePress is a WordPress theme that’s quite popular for its performance and speed. The theme is lightweight and offers advanced features on the premium version.
Similar to the Kadence theme, GeneratePress also offers a Block editor called GeneratePress Blocks that leverages the native WordPress Gutenberg editor.
GeneratePress is a developer-friendly offering with a clean, minimalist design; it also includes a library of pre-built sites for various businesses.
With GenerateBlocks, you can eliminate the need for third-party page builders that might slow down your website. GenerateBlocks lets you design a grid to create advanced layouts, containers, buttons, etc.
Compared to Kadence, Genetpress might be less beginner-friendly, but it offers stable functionality with support.
Pricing is straightforward. The GeneratePress Premium version starts at $59 per year, which offers 60+ Starter Sites and can be used on up to 500 sites, including the clients’ websites that you manage. This makes GeneratePress quite suitable for freelancers, hobbyists, or people who want to start creative agencies.
They also introduced a new feature called GenerateCloud, which lets users host reusable design patterns across multiple websites from the private cloud.

Blocksy
Blocksy natively supports the WordPress Gutenberg block editor with eCommerce compatibility. Like GeneratePress, Blocksy is also built for speed. It’s also compatible with page builders such as Elementor, Beaver Builder, etc. It comes with both free and premium versions.
You can customize everything from the Header with an intuitive drag-and-drop builder. Additionally, you can choose different background colors, typography options, etc.
Blocksy offers five modern layouts, where you can set a different layout for a different post. They also offer plenty of pre-made starter templates, which you can import with one click.
With WooCommerce support, you can easily integrate payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc.
Premium features include the Advanced menu, Adobe Typekit Fonts, Header Pro Elements, etc.
Blocksy PRO pricing starts at $69 per year for the Personal plan, while agency plans cost $149 per year, which you can use on unlimited sites.
Astra
Astra is also considered one of the fastest WordPress themes on the market, having been available since 2017. Astra supports the native Gutenberg WordPress block editor as well as the third-party page builders, such as Elementor and Beaver Builder.
They also offer a Gutenberg block plugin called Spectra, which extends the ability to build pages and create custom blocks using the native WordPress block editor.
Astra is quite popular among non-coders due to its ability to create countless custom pages with a few clicks.
They offer several free starter templates, which you can export to build your website within a few minutes. With the Essential Toolkit plan, which costs $119, you get 200+ Premium Website Templates.

Neve
Neve is a fast and lightweight theme from Themisle. Theme’s default WordPress install is just 28KB, which is suitable for people who are looking to speed up their website.
Neve supports Gutenberg along with third-party page builders such as Elementor, Divi, Thrive Architect, Beaver Builder, etc.
You can fully customize the Header, layouts, and colors. They also offer 110+ readymade website templates built using the Block Editor and Elementor Page Builder.
For Gutenberg, they offer Otter Blocks that let you create beautiful pages without using any third-party page builders, which adds additional functionality to the WordPress Block Editor.
Neve Pro’s pricing starts at $69 per year, which supports the use on unlimited sites; however, to use it on clients’ sites, you have to purchase the Agency plan, which costs $259.
OllieWP
OllieWP was started quite recently, but one of the founders had previously built the popular plugin called Atomic Blocks, which was a great plugin started after the introduction of Gutenberg back then.
Fully built on the native WordPress editor, Ollie is AI-assisted and works by prompts to design your custom pages. Since it’s built using Core WordPress blocks, your content will be with you even if you change themes in the future.
It includes Editor Extensions that enhance the native WordPress block editor with responsive grid controls, hover effects, animations, etc.
Ollie Pro’s library consists of hundreds of expertly crafted templates and a setup wizard to help you get started quickly. They have extensive docs and video tutorials to help you learn the process of building websites with Ollie.

Conclusion
Among these themes, GeneratePress is my favorite, and I like the fact that the base $59 GP Premium plan allows you to use it on up to 500 sites.
Plus, they allow you to use it on clients’ sites as well, without having to purchase any expensive Agency plans. At the end of the day, it’s a personal choice and preference. Pick the theme that’s most suitable for your project.
