I recently watched this 13-year-old girl named Courtney Hadwin in AGT auditions; she came with very shy and nervous attitude but gave a rockstar performance and earned a golden buzzer. It’s like there were two different people.
Many of you might wonder how’s that even possible. Well, this is what I think is called getting in the zone. When you get into this zone, things happen spontaneously and effortlessly. In those moments, you forget the distractions around you, time becomes still.
A few years ago, I read an article on how surgeons perform long and complicated surgery that lasts 15-20 hours. I remember the phrase saying their entire medical team gets into the zone where precision is required.
In this zone, you make a move on your every move. Everything else doesn’t matter. Here things move fast and rapidly, you’ll reach your goal very quickly.
How to get into this zone? Well, I think it comes down to the passion, interest, and practice. You can’t be doing something that you’re not fully into it.
If you ask any artists, writers or creatives, I’m sure they’ll say the same. Many of their creative and valuable work happened in that zone moments.
Another best thing about doing something that interests you is that you’ll be in 100% alignment with it. There’ll be no conflict.
I was told many times by my relatives that I should get a secure job. It made me angry, gave me anxiety and I developed a deep hatred towards them. Because I know there’s no alignment and money is not that factor; I would rather earn very little and keep doing the things I like.
Also, when you keep doing the things you like for years, you’ll become very good at it and you’ll be in an undefeatable zone; because it’s the zone that you created yourself.
